What IS linenbacking? Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: fair. The poster had writing in the background in the bottom of the top image and the top right of the background of the bottom image. Otherwise, it had pretty minor fold and border wear. Overall, the poster was in fair condition prior to linenbacking. The restorer painted over all of the background in both the top and bottom areas, and the color they used for the upper background area was not the color that the poster originally was (it originally was yellow, and they used orange). Of course, if you don't know it is supposed to be yellow, it is not that striking, but it is a really major difference from the actual poster, so please do not bid on this poster unless you can accept the significant defects it had, and the restoration with the wrong color that was performed.
