Los Nuevos extraterrestres (released in the U.S. as "The Pod People"), the 1983 Juan Piquer Simon Spanish/French science fiction (sci-fi) horror thriller starring Ian Sera, Nina Ferrer, Emil Linder, Concha Cuetos, Manuel Pereiro, Frank Brana, and Susanna Bequer (billed as "Susi Blasque"). Note that this movie was originally planned to be a horror movie about an evil alien attacking earthlings. But during production, E.T. became a giant hit, and the studio changed the central character to a friendly alien, and also ripped off E.T. in many other ways (which displeased the director greatly)!
