An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Lobby Card (LC; measures 10 1/4" x 13 1/4" [26 x 34 cm]) (Learn More)

Kitty, the 1929 Victor Saville English World War I (WWI) romantic disability melodrama ("From the novel by Warwick Deeping, author of 'Sorrell and Son'"; about a rich Englishman who falls in love with a shop girl, and he goes into World War I, and emerges both paralyzed and with amnesia, so he doesn't remember his former love, and his mother sees this as a way to get rid of the shop girl, but the girl has different ideas and kidnaps her beau and he regains his memory!) starring Estelle Brody (in the title role as Kitty Greenwood), John Stuart, Dorothy Cumming, Marie Ault, Winter Hall, and Olaf Hytten. Note that this was the first part-talking picture made in England (the talking part was solely the last 30 minutes of the movie). This was accomplished by filming the end of the movie in New York, where they had sound equipment. Not long after, "Blackmail" was released, which was the first all-talking English movie.
