An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Title Lobby Card (LC TC; measures 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm]) (Learn More) Black Gold, the 1947 Phil Karlson oil drilling horse racing sports gambling melodrama ("Race Commentary by Clem McCarthy"; "In Glorious Cinecolor!"; "Original Story by Caryl Coleman") starring Anthony Quinn (in his first starring role), Katherine DeMille, Elyse Knox, Ducky Louie, Kane Richmond, and Moroni Olsen. Note that stars Anthony Quinn and Katharine DeMille were married to each other in real life, and that even though Quinn had been appearing in movies for 11 years, this was the first movie where he received top billing! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that this title card clearly has a tiny "B" in the bottom right corner. I was under the impression that there were absolutely NO "style B" title cards, and that all title cards are the same as the style A half-sheet, and that the style B half-sheet contained artwork not seen on any other movie poster sizes (this is backed up by the fact that an awful lot of title cards have a "T/A" in the bottom right, indicating that they are both the title card and the style A half-sheet). So what explains the small "B" on this card? If anyone knows more about this movie, please e-mail us and we will post it here. Note that we have a scan of both the front and the back of this lobby card, which should greatly help you see what defects it has. Condition: very good.
