An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded German "A0" Movie Poster (33x47; measures 33" x 47" [84 x 119 cm]) (Learn More)

Lache Bajazzo (released in English-speaking countries as "Laugh Pagliacci"), the 1943 Leopold Hainisch German family relationship musical opera melodrama (based on the libretto by Ruggero Leoncavallo; about a clown who is released from prison after killing his unfaithful wife and her lover, and he searches for the daughter he never knew) starring Beniamino Gigli, Claude Farell (billed as "Monika Burg") Paul Horbiger (later, he appeared in "The Third Man"!), Dagny Servaes, and Karl Martell. Note that this is a German version of the 1943 Italian film of the same name with many of the same stars!

Artist: Georg Tscherepoff
Important Added Info: Note that we have never before auctioned an example of this poster! It is an extremely rare "country of origin" German poster from during World War II! Virtually no German posters survive from during World War II since apparently there were many paper shortages in Europe during World War II, resulting in the destruction of almost all posters from before and World War II, and also from during the war, and the first few years afterwards.

Condition: good. The poster has completely separated along the center horizontal fold (see our image). There is lesser crossfold separation and a few tears. After proper restoration the ultra rare poster will display well, but bear in mind the poster's condition and the cost of restoration before bidding on it.
