An Original Vintage Theatrical Autographed Movie Lobby Card #5 (measures 11" x 14") (Learn More)

James Oliver Curwood's The Wolf Hunters, the 1949 Budd Boetticher (billed as "Oscar Boetticher") cowboy western ("Suggested by the James Oliver Curwoodl novel 'The Wolf Hunters'") starring Kirby Grant, Jan Clayton, Edward Norris, Helen Parrish, Charles Lang, and Chinook (billed as "The Wonder Dog"). Note that Chinook the Wonder Dog was a white dog that looked like a cross between a Siberian Husky and a German Shepherd, and he appeared in ten movies between 1949 and 1954, all set in the Yukon. We were unable to find out why Chinook's career ended so suddenly, but perhaps he had substance abuse problems or some other problem! If anyone knows more about this, please e-mail us and we will post it here.
NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography.
Important Added Info: Note that this lobby card appears to have been personally autographed (signed) by actor Kirby Grant (and we feel 99.9% certain it is authentic!).

Condition: very good. tiny tear at lower left in the image of the canoe; 1/2" tear in the left of the top edge as well as a few 1/4" and smaller tears around the edges of the card (some repaired with conservation tape from the back); minor creases, smudges, and scuffs throughout the card (more so around the edges); a few pairs of staple holes and tack holes around the edges of the card
