An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Glass Slide (measures approximately 3" x 4") (Learn More) Down to Earth, the 1932 David Butler rags-to-riches family relationship screwball comedy ("Story by Homer Croy, author of 'They Had to See Paris'"; a sequel to "They Had to See Paris", where the nouveau riche family of the earlier movie returns to their small town in Oklahoma, but they build a replica of the French chateau they lived in when they were in Paris; the family becomes so spoiled that the father pretends he has lost all his money to try to bring his family "down to earth") starring Will Rogers, Dorothy Jordan, Irene Rich, Matty Kemp, and Mary Carlisle NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that glass slides were designed to be put in a special projector that would project the image onto a movie screen (they use exactly the same concept as 35mm slides). We have taken a digital photo of each that shows the general condition of the overall slide and holder, and we have also made a digital scan that shows the glass image well, but does not show the holder (except as a dark outline). Condition: very good. The theater that used this slide wrote the days the movie was playing in the playdates section at the bottom of the glass. Otherwise, the cardboard holder has much staining around the staples, but the glass slide itself is in pretty nice condition! Learn More about condition grades
