An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded Stock One-Sheet Movie Poster (measures 28" x 42") (Learn More) Tex Ritter was a well known actor in cowboy movies from 1936 through 1973, and a major radio star, and one of the first successful country western singers. Some of his movies include: The First Bad Man, Wichita, Song of the Gringo, and many more! He achieved great fame from singing the theme song from "High Noon", and for being the father of John Ritter, the famous TV star. He passed away in 1974 at the age of 68. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: NOTE: In this case, the #1 in the title of this sale is not the style of the poster. In this case, the styles from this particular set of posters were not labeled, but because we are selling more than one poster from this title this week as separate eBay sales, we needed to differentiate between them, and we did so by marking them "#1, #2, etc. Note that this is a "stock" poster for use by theaters showing their 1930s Tex Ritter movies. Theaters would order this poster, which had a large blank area at bottom right. Sometimes the studio would overprint the stock poster with the title of a specific movie, and sometimes they were sent a series of large paper snipes with the titles of specific entries of the series, so the theater could paste in each snipe as needed, thus getting many posters for the price of one. Also note that this one-sheet measures 28" x 42". Please do not bid on this poster thinking it is 27" x 41". Condition: good. Learn More about condition grades
