eMoviePoster.comAuction History Result BOWERY TO BAGDAD 1sh '54 Lease from Hershenson/Allen ArchiveAn Original Vintage One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh) (Learn More) Bowery to Bagdad, the 1954 Edward Bernds Iraq New York City teen juvenile delinquent comedy ("They're Funnier than ever in Bagdad!"; "Written by Elwood Ullman and Edward Bernds") starring The Bowery Boys (billed as "Leo Gorcey, Huntz Hall, and the Bowery Boys"), Joan Shawlee, Eric Blore, and Bernard Gorcey (as Louie Dambrowski). Note that, by this point, Gorcey and Hall had been playing these roles for nearly 20 years, and they were far from juveniles! Note that Bernard Gorcey was star Leo Gorcey's father, and he played Louie, the owner of the Sweet Shop, where the boys frequently hung out, and Louie was often involved in slapstick gags, and many times Leo Gorcey would be tormenting or slapping his own father!
