Mr. Barnes of New York, the 1922 Victor Schertzinger silent romantic detective murder mystery crime melodrama (based on the novel "By Archibald Clavering Gunter"; a complicated story of a New Yorker who visits Europe and gets involved with a woman whose brother was murdered and wants revenge; the movie moves to England, where the hero ultimately solves the murder) starring Tom Moore (in the title role as Mr. Barnes), Anna Lehr, Naomi Childers, Louis Willoughby, Ramon Novarro, and Otto Hoffman. Note that this movie was based on an 1887 novel that was turned into a 1914 silent film and then remade into this film in 1922. One of the stills from this movie we have seen has the star wearing a Sherlock Holmes outfit! If anyone knows more about this movie, please e-mail us and we will post it here.

Important Added Info: The slide does not have a cardboard holder, but rather there is black tape around all four edges (front and back), typical of older glass slides.
