An Original 1948 (from the first release of this movie in France) Vintage Theatrical French Movie Pressbook (pb; measures 18 3/4" x 24 1/2" [48 x 62 cm]; 8 pages) (Learn More) The Wolf Dog, the 1933 Harry Frazer & Colbert Clark German Shepherd canine dog action adventure serial ("The dog hero of young America!"; "A Mascot Serial in 12 Thrilling Chapters of Daring and Danger!") starring Rin Tin Tin Jr., Frankie Darro, Boots Mallory (a pretty young lady who had appeared in the Ziegfeld Follies, but she only appeared in ten movies in the 1930s; she gained notoriety for posing for lingerie photographs and for being painted nude by Rolf Armstrong; one of her early movies was with James Cagney, and she married his brother William, and was later married to Herbert Marshall), George J. Lewis, Fred Kohler, Hale Hamilton, Henry B. Walthall, and Yakima Canutt NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Note that this French pressbook was printed on a single large sheet (both sides) that, when folded, formed an 8 page pressbook. The example here was stored completely unfolded, so we are auctioning it that way and it will be sent rolled in a tube. Also, note that we have provided an image of the front and back covers of this French pressbook, and of course, the winner of this auction will receive the entire single pressbook we are auctioning (plus any supplements or heralds described above)! Also note that this French pressbook is complete and uncut! Given that theater owners received pressbooks partly in order to create their newspaper advertising, and quite frequently cut them up for that purpose, it is rare to find a pressbook that IS complete and uncut!
