Kenton musical romantic love triangle family relationship vaudeville melodrama ("All Talking-Singing Hit!"; "A soul-stirring drama of mother love"; about a husband and wife who perform in vaudeville with their young son, and the wife insists on quitting the act so that the boy can have a normal childhood, but then the father takes up with a floozie, and that breaks up the family, and the parents work separately in vaudeville, and at the climax, the son convinces his parents to get back together, and the three perform on stage again) starring Belle Baker, Ralph Graves, David Durand, Eve Arden and Arthur Housman. Note that Belle Baker is completely forgotten today, but in the 1920s, she was a top vaudeville performer, having started in all Jewish venues, but then she was discovered by Jacob Adler, which led to her performing with the Ziegfeld Follies, and she was given this movie to star in as one of Columbia's first musicals, and she had her own radio show on CBS in the 1930s.
