An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm]) (Learn More) Officer Duck, the 1939 Clyde Geronimi Walt Disney animated animation cartoon police crime comedy short ("Walt Disney's Donald Duck"; Donald is a police officer who is assigned to apprehend a criminal named "Tiny Tom"; Donald misunderstands the nickname and thinks he will be literally small, but when he finally meets Tom, he realizes he needs a new approach, and he goes to him disguised as a baby!) featuring the voices of Clarence Nash (in the title role as Donald Duck), and Billy Bletcher (as Tiny Tom) NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that first release Donald Duck one-sheets from the 1930s are incredibly rare! We have never auctioned a Donald Duck one-sheet from before 1939, and we have only auctioned one other example of this one-sheet, and that was 25 years ago, when it auctioned for $4,180 (that example was linenbacked, and this one is not). 1940s Donald Duck posters are also rare, but the ones from the 1930s are even more rare! Condition: very good. The poster was folded in half an extra time, and lightly folded in half an extra time in the other direction, but that second light extra fold caused barely noticeable folds. There is tiny separation at the top two crossfolds and the tiniest of paper loss at the bottom crossfold. There are some creases scattered throughout the poster. There are pinholes in the corners and a 2" tear in the bottom left green background area. The poster has never had any sort of restoration, which is very unusual for a poster of this age and desirability! The poster can certainly be displayed and enjoyed as it is, or it would be a very simple linenbacking to restore its very minor defects described above. Learn More about condition grades
