An Unfolded Travel Poster (measures 25" x 40" [64 x 102 cm]) (Learn More) TWA: Rome, the 1950s airplane airline aviation travel poster designed to promote tourism to Rome aboard Trans World Airlines, and featuring colorful art of the Fountain of Neptune (Fontana del Nettuno) in the Piazza Navona by David Klein. If anyone knows more about this poster, please e-mail us and we will post it here. Note that we have seen two versions of TWA Rome posters with this art. Some have a Constellation aircraft at upper right and "TWA Trans World Airlines" at bottom, and some have an image of a Super Constellation aircraft at upper right under the tagline "Fly TWA". We think that both date from 1950s, but the one with the regular Constellation and "TWA Trans World Airlines" at bottom likely predates the one with the Super Constellation. If anyone knows more about this, please e-mail us and we will post it here. Artist: David Klein Condition: good to very good. The poster was never folded. It has spotty slight discoloration around the edges and there is a small amount of slight discoloration in the title area. It has light and fine creases scattered throughout (especially in the bottom portions) and a few creases and tiny tears along portions of some edges. It is otherwise in generally pretty nice condition and after a relatively simple linenbacking the poster will look great! Learn More about condition grades
