Mason; produced by Alexander Korda) starring Flora Robson (as Queen Elizabeth I of England), Laurence Olivier, Vivien Leigh, Leslie Banks, Raymond Massey (as King Philip II of Spain), Morton Selten, Tamara Desni, James Mason (as Hillary Vane), and Robert Newton. Note that Laurence Olivier and Vivien Leigh had wonderful romantic chemistry in this movie, which is not surprising, given that they were having an off-screen affair, even though both were married to other people! Important Added Info: Note that we have only previously auctioned two examples of this one-sheet, but those were 17 and 23 years ago (when they sold for $2,550 and $2,300)! What IS linenbacking? Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good to very good. The poster had small paper loss at the top and bottom crossfolds, with a small area of paper loss in the top of Olivier's upper lip. It had some small tears and tiny paper loss in the bottom quarter of the vertical fold, with a lesser amount on the rest of the folds. It had pinholes and tears around the edges. Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was pretty well backed, but you can see signs of the above defects and the restoration of the above defects.
