Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer (better known as MGM) is an American media company, involved primarily in the production and distribution of films and television programs. MGM was founded in 1924 when Marcus Loew bought Metro Pictures, Goldwyn Pictures Corporation, and Louis B. Mayer Pictures.

Important Added Info: Note that this interesting brochure, which we have never auctioned before, was created by MGM in 1969. It has an actual film strip with four frames from the 1969 re-release of How the West Was Won (which was in 70mm with six channel stereographic sound on magnetic stripping), and this was sent to theater owners with the film so they could see just how cool it was. It also contains a brochure about MGM being "the entertainment center of the world", including their TV productions, and it also contains a 4-page brochure for 2001: A Space Odyssey, and also four insert sheets about MGM TV shows. The brochure's cover is a folder that has pockets to contain the above items.
