An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked Three-Sheet Movie Poster (measures 41" x 81") (Learn More)

Mistaken Identity, the 1919 Howard M. Mitchell silent horse racing car racing romantic melodrama ("A woman-hater falls for the fair sex"; "Romance of an honest thief"; about a Southern Colonel whose daughter is a race car driver, but he raises race horses, and a man comes from the North to buy a race horse, but he is robbed and the robber poses as him and kidnaps the girl, but the man rescues her and they end up getting married) starring Anita King, Gordon Sackville, Barney Oldfield, and Henry Grey. Note that legendary car racer Barney Oldfield appeared in this movie. He was the first man to drive a car at 60 miles per hour (96 km/h) on an oval. His accomplishments led to the expression "Who do you think you are? Barney Oldfield?"
If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know.
Important Added Info: This three-sheet was printed in 2 sections and is linenbacked.

Condition: very good. This poster was linenbacked, and the restorer did a good job, but you can see signs of the restoration from inches away (since most people look at posters framed on a wall from at least a few feet away, we don't feel this is a defect, but we feel it should be noted). See below for this poster's pre-restoration condition (we are the only major auction company we know of that shares this information with our bidders, but we wish everyone did!).

very good to fine. The poster had some long creases and tears in the middle of the poster. It had minor defects in the borders including many small tears and some tiny paper loss, and some fold wear, but basically it was in quite nice condition considering its age. The poster was well linenbacked, but you can see the restoration from close-up.
