The poster had paper loss at the middle crossfold with creases, tears, and areas of paper loss scattered down the entire vertical foldline with a lesser amount of wear on the horizontal folds. There was a diagonal tear in the center of the poster to the left of the middle crossfold and a horizontal tear and small paper loss in the top center of the poster in the girl's chin. Overall, the poster was in fair to condition prior to linenbacking. The restorer linenbacked the poster "in the European style", meaning that they did little restoration to the defects described above. Learn More about condition grades
