Date Sold 9/15/2011Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. An Original Vintage Theatrical Paperbacked Swedish Movie Poster (measures 26 1/2" x 39 1/2") (Learn More) Chasing Through Europe, the 1929 David Butler & Alfred L. Werker romantic comedy sequel (this was a sequel to the 1928 movie, "The News Parade", with Nick Stuart again playing a brash newsreel cameraman traveling the world in search of hot news; in this movie, he meets Sue Carol, who is engaged to a man she doesn't love, and she is kidnapped, and Stuart helps her break her engagement and escape the crooks, while traveling through London, Paris and Rome, and there is apparently a cliffhanging scene at the Eiffel Tower!) starring Sue Carol, Nick Stuart, Gustav von Seyffertitz, Gavin Gordon, and E. Alyn Warren NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: very good. Prior to paperbacking, the poster had some faint darkening in the bottom and very slightly in the other borders. There was a 2" tear in the center of the bottom border and minor wear on the foldlines. There were some tiny dot stains scattered in the white background areas. Overall, the poster was in very good condition prior to paperbacking. The restorer backed the poster "in the European style", meaning that they did not do restoration to the defects described above, but they are really not very distracting.
