An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked French Door Panel Movie Poster (measures 24" x 61 1/2") (Learn More) The Purple Rose of Cairo, the 1985 Woody Allen romantic Hollywood fantasy comedy (about a character from a 1930s movie walking off of the screen and into reality, and the romantic implications of him having a girlfriend even though he isn't real) starring Mia Farrow, Jeff Daniels, Danny Aiello, Irving Metzman, Stephanie Farrow, and David Kieserman NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Artist: Jean-Michel Folon Condition: very good. This poster was linenbacked, and one of the following is true: either the poster had minor defects, and was well backed, OR it had more significant defects, but they were extremely well restored, OR it had some very minor defects that were not completely restored, and are somewhat noticeable. You can tell which of the above is the case for this particular poster by reading our "pre-restoration" description and also by looking at our "super-sized" image of the actual poster (we are the only major auction company we know of that gives accurate detailed pre-restoration information about linenbacked posters to our bidders, but we wish everyone did!). The poster had minor wear along the foldlines and some creases, smudges, and a few tears around the edges of the poster. There were smudges in some of the solid white background areas.
