An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm]) (Learn More) Lost in a Harem, the 1944 Charles Reisner Arabian romantic fantasy screwball comedy ("Music! Maidens! Merriment!") starring Bud Abbott, Lou Costello (Abbott and Costello), Marilyn Maxwell, John Conte, Douglass Dumbrille, Jimmy Dorsey & His Orchestra, and Lock Martin (billed as "J. Lockhard Martin"; in his film debut). Note that Martin was a giant at 7' 4" (some reports suggest 7' 7"!), and he later also played "Gort" in "The Day the Earth Stood Still", before passing away in 1959 at the age of 42. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good. The poster had tiny tears and tiny areas of paper loss scattered on most of the foldlines. It had smudges, pinholes, and small paper loss around the edges, with a large tear in the upper right blank border. Overall, the poster was in good condition prior to linenbacking. The restorer backed the poster "in the European style", meaning that they did not do restoration to the defects described above. Learn More about condition grades
