He was a journalist during WWI (WWI), and lost his left eye trying to save a wounded U.S. Marine. Some of his works include: With Byrd at the South Pole, Attic of Terror, Trapped Underground, and Three-Minute Fuse. He also narrated several film shorts. Gibbons passed away in 1939 at the age of 52. Important Added Info: Note that this still has been personally autographed (signed) by Floyd Gibbons! Also note that this still has been trimmed and it now measures 5 1/2" x 7 1/2" [14 x 19 cm]. Our consignor is a longtime memorabilia dealer who has purchased autographs several times over the past 30 years, and he feels certain that this signature is authentic. Condition: good to very good.
