An Original Vintage 6 1/2" x 8 1/2" [17 x 22 cm] News Photo (Learn More) George Dallas Streeter was a Texas oil magnate who apparently had dreams of becoming a playwright, novelist, and actor in Hollywood in the 1930s! We found a news photo of him when he arrived in Hollywood in 1934, and the snipe on it says that he approached the studios with his "nine original plays, a flock of short stories, carbon copies of a novel, and a number of volumes of his own poems"! Apparently nobody in Hollywood would publish or produce any of it, so instead, he said he would "not only produce the plays, but also co-direct and play the leading roles". Apparently he either ran out of money or regained his sanity, because we can find no indication that any of this ever came to fruition. If anyone knows more about any of this, please e-mail us and we will post it here. Important Added Info: Note that this news photo measures 6 1/2" x 8 1/2" [17 x 22 cm]. Condition: very good. There is a tiny stain in the middle left of the blank white background. Learn More about condition grades
