Date Sold 11/30/2014 Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. a lot of 11 German programs from the Phoebus Theater. We don't know what the Phoebus Theater was, but it surely was a major German movie theater, because these are some of the nicest and most deluxe of "local theater" programs we have ever seen. Each program has 20 pages on a deluxe paper stock that has articles on then-current stars or movies, with an artwork illustration from the current movie on the first deluxe interior page, and in the center is 4 pages on a thin paper stock that tells about the movie playing that particular week (with no illustrations). Note that the items in this lot are from 1927. We do not provide a list of these items, but there are two images of each program (one shows the front and back outer cover, and the other shows the interior cover with the art image for the current movie), so there are 22 photos, but there are 11 programs being auctioned in this lot. Measurements: 5 1/4" x 5 1/2"Condition: very good to fine. The programs have some wear on the covers but are generally in nice condition, especially considering their age.
