He is best remembered for his starring role in Forbidden Planet, and although he was a serious actor for decades, he resurfaced in the 1980s with a comic turn in Airplane (and many other films after including Mel Brooks' Dracula: Dead and Loving It, Spy Hard, Wrongfully Accused, Scary Movies 3 and 4, and more). He passed away in 2010 at the age of 84. A joker until the end, his gravestone has the epitaph "Let 'er rip", which refers to his frequent pranks involving flatulence. Some of his other movies include: the Naked Gun series, Repossessed, and Creepshow Important Added Info: Note that this 4-page contract has been personally autographed (signed) by Leslie Nielsen! Our consignor purchased this signed item from a major auction house, but they did not provide him with a certificate of authenticity. Note that the contract has Mr. Nielsen's social security number on it, and we have placed a white box over that number in our image, but of course, the actual item does not have that white box. As is true of all the signed items we are currently auctioning, we give every buyer 30 days in which to review what they purchased and they can return any item as long as it is within 30 days of the end of the auction. On non-signed items, we give a "lifetime guarantee" on everything we auction, but on signed items, we give the above modified guarantee of 30 days after the auction closes.
