An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Pressbook (pb; measures 8 1/2" x 14" [22 x 36 cm]; 14 pages) (Learn More)

The Thing with Two Heads, the 1972 Lee Frost horror science fiction (sci-fi) comedy (about an interracial transplant; "They transplanted a white bigot's head on a soul brother's body!"; "The doctor blew it - the most fantastic medical experiment of the age. And now, with the fights, the Fuzz, the chicks and the choppers ...Man, they're really in deeeeep trouble!"; "The doctor blew it - He transplanted a White Bigot's Head on a Soul Brother's Body!"; "Story by Lee Frost & Wes Bishop"; the comedy portion of this movie may not have been intentional) starring Ray Milland, Roosevelt Grier (billed as "'Rosey' Grier"), Don Marshall, Roger Perry, Kathrine Baumann (billed as "Kathy Baumann"), and Chelsea Brown ("as Lila"). Is it just me, or does it seem incredibly sad that Ray Milland, a wonderful Academy Award-winning actor, had to spend the entire making of this movie in a really bizarre body suit in incredibly close quarters with a huge ex-football player? I can't imagine that making this movie was fun at all, but watching it certainly is (in a kind of twisted way)!

Important Added Info: Note that we have provided an image of the front and back covers of this pressbook (if the back cover is not the poster page, we photographed the interior poster page), and of course, the winner of this auction will receive the entire single pressbook we are auctioning (plus any supplements or heralds described above)! Also note that this pressbook is complete and uncut! Given that theater owners purchased pressbooks partly in order to create their newspaper advertising, and quite frequently cut them up for that purpose, it is rare to find a pressbook that IS complete and uncut!

Condition: very good to fine, NO CUTS. The pressbook is complete and uncut and is in nice condition!
