An Original Vintage Theatrical Deluxe 7 3/4" x 9 3/4" [20 x 25 cm] Movie Still (Learn More) Anna May Wong was a Chinese-American actress from the 1910s to the 1960s. Some of her movies include: Shanghai Express, Thief of Bagdad, Impact, Across to Singapore, and Piccadilly. Unfortunately, due to the prejudices of the time, the studios cast white actresses over her, even in Asian roles, having the white actresses perform in "yellowface", which meant that Miss Wong would almost always play a friend or enemy of the white actress in the lead Asian role! She passed away in 1961 at the age of 56. Important Added Info: Note that this still has been trimmed and it now measures 7 3/4" x 9 3/4" [20 x 25 cm]. Also note that this is a deluxe still printed on double weight paper stock. Condition: good to very good. The top and bottom blank borders were neatly trimmed and there are some faint smudges around the edges. Otherwise, the still is in pretty nice condition. Learn More about condition grades
