An Original Vintage Folded Style A One-Sheet Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm]) (Learn More) The Bride Comes to Yellow Sky, the 1952 Bretaigne Windust cowboy western ("Stephen Crane's fun-suspense frontier classic!"; "Suspense and fun on the Texas frontier! The new-style Western of a sagebrush Sheriff, his bashful Bride and the trigger-itching Sourdough who gets 'shooting pains' from his Snake Oil 'treatments.'"; "Story by Stephen Crane"; "Lusty laughter and tense suspense on the old frontier!") starring Robert Preston, Marjorie Steele, Minor Watson, Dan Seymour and Olive Carey. Note that this movie was released as a "new kind of double-bill" by RKO in 1952 under the title of "Face to Face", which included this movie and the movie "The Secret Sharer". The films were a vanity project for producer Huntington Hartford (the A&P grocery chain heir) who cast his wife (Marjorie Steele) and hired famous author James Agee to help with the script (and who also played a role in the movie). Apparently, RKO also made the decision to create independent releases for both short movies (approximately 45 minutes long each), so they prepared one-sheets for this part of the double bill (and also for the other part). The item offered here is for the solo release of this movie, and movie paper from this release is far more rare than that from the double bill. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography.
