Did you know... that we JUST NOW made two significant improvements: one to our invoices and one to bidding?
Return to Did You Know ArchiveAdded: 10/14/2013 We have JUST NOW made two significant improvements:
1) A weakness in our much loved "Pay and Hold" system (which allows all U.S. customers to
accumulate as many items as they can in a three week time and get all those items sent in as few
packages as possible, and this is expanded to six weeks for non-U.S. customers!) WAS that
when we sent out those "Pay and Hold" orders, the invoices only showed the dates you bought the
items, and not exactly what you bought on those dates.
But NOW, We itemize the items bought through our Pay and Hold program on the invoices that we
e-mail to buyers, which means that you can now view ALL the items you purchased in an easier to
read format. This is especially helpful for those who purchase from lots of sets of our auctions,
because it is easy to forget all that you bought over the previous three or six weeks, and now your
e-mailed invoices show you EXACTLY what is in each order you are sent!
2) THE FOLLOWING IS A WONDERFUL CHANGE, BECAUSE SO MANY OF OUR BIDDERS USED TO BID ON EBAY
(of course, we know that many of you have quit eBay, either in whole or in part!). But on eBay, they
allow bidding in dollars and cents (for no good reason whatsoever!), while OUR
eMoviePoster.com auctions are "whole dollars only".
Why is that a problem? Because many former eBay bidders would try to bid
"$21.32" on one of our auctions, and it would end up coming out as "$2,132", which meant they had to
contact us to cancel that wrong bid, if they even noticed it themselves. But thanks to a wonderful
programming change just made, special characters (anything not a number) are no longer allowed when bidding.
So now, if you try to type anything that
is not a number (like a period or a comma or a dollar sign), you will be shown an error message and the non-number will be removed from the bid
box. This should GREATLY cut down on the bid mistakes we have had in the past!
