If you have ever received a package from us, you no doubt noticed the heavy duty double weight cardboard, "gorilla proof" tubes, and/or additional wrapping we use to protect your order. We use these high quality packing materials to be sure that your order is safe regardless of what the Post Office, UPS, or FedEx could do to it. We've heard of our packages being left in the rain and/or snow for hours, "dinged" somehow during transit, and even "lost" for days in sorting facilities. In 99.9% of these cases, the items in our packages survived in the exact condition they were in when we shipped them, so we know it is worth it to use these packing materials.

To make sure everyone knows just how well we pack, in 2010 we commissioned the fine cartoonist, Erik Andresen, to create a comic strip detailing just how well we pack and you can view it here (click on the image to see a much larger, more readable image):

And we have no "trade secrets" on ANY of this! If YOU want to be able to pack like we do, contact us with any questions you have and we can tell you which materials we buy and who we buy them from (but in many cases you will be better to buy them from a local supplier, to save on shipping). And realize that EVERY other auction could also use the same materials, but none do, likely because they like squeezing out extra profits by skimping on the quality of their packing materials.

So please be understanding that, yes, our packages sometimes cost a little more to ship than those of dealers or auctions who use flimsy packaging, because our packages sometimes  weigh more, but in exchange, they virtually NEVER get damaged.
