About These Sunday Items
IMPORTANT! This set of auctions runs for TWO weeks!
Beginning with this set of auctions that started on May
6th, we begin auctions that last for TWO weeks, ending on May
20th.
As those auctions end, on May 20th, we will add a special auction of
hundreds of German & Austrian programs (including many ultra-rare ones!) and that auction will also
run for TWO weeks. And after those end on June 3rd,
we will start an "all miscellaneous" auction that includes the small amounts of items we used to auction in our "regular"
Sunday auctions, plus any other items
that don't fit into our regular Tuesday and Thursday auctions, and those auctions will also last for
TWO weeks, ending on June 17th!
Then every two Sundays we will alternate between the "miscellaneous"
auction and the rolled one-sheet auction, each running for two weeks. This means we will be able to auction rolled 27x41 and 27x40
one-sheets every month (and on a regular schedule, and it also means we should be able to auction "miscellaneous" items
soon after we receive them because we will have a large auction of them every month).
And of course, if either or both of these auctions are well received, we
could start running either for one week only and have TWO sets of either every month!
About the rolled one-sheet posters
Note that most of the posters we are selling this week were never folded. A
very few of the posters were once folded (or partially folded, as in tri-folding), but all of those have been stored flat for a long time and will be shipped rolled in tubes, along with the completely unfolded ones. We will NOT re-fold any of the "formerly folded" posters. WE ALWAYS IDENTIFY WHETHER A POSTER IS UNFOLDED, TRI-FOLDED, OR FORMERLY FULLY FOLDED WITHIN THE DESCRIPTION FOR EACH ITEM!
NOTE THAT WE SOMETIMES SEPARATE THE 27X40 AND 27X41
ONE-SHEETS INTO TWO ENTIRELY SEPARATE AUCTIONS, BUT IN THIS SET OF
AUCTIONS WE ARE AUCTIONING BOTH SIZES (but we still clearly identify on each
auction which are 27x40s and which are 27x41s).
About the originality of rolled one-sheets
Many collectors would like to add posters from their favorite movies of the 1970s onward to their collection, but they rightfully are afraid they will be sold commercial posters (or reproductions or bootlegs), rather than actual posters either used in theaters or intended for theater use. WHEN YOU BUY FROM US THIS WEEK, YOU HAVE A GUARANTEE THAT YOU WILL BE BUYING A GENUINE ORIGINAL MOVIE POSTERS! This is because
almost all of these posters come to us either from theater owners, or from advanced collectors (often ones who purchased the posters right when the movies first came out), people who know how to distinguish an original poster, and also, we here at eMoviePoster very carefully scrutinize every poster to make 100% certain it is genuine! But you don't have to take our word for it! If you purchase any poster this week, and you have the slightest doubts about its originality after you receive it, it is fine for you to return it for a full refund
within 7 days of receipt (but we virtually never get a single poster returned, because we reject any poster that is consigned to us if we have the slightest doubts about it!).
About the condition Normally when we sell movie paper, we grade the posters on a scale that allows for some defects typical of 30 to 75-year-old movie posters that were actually used in theaters. Such posters often have some minor wear at the very least, and it is next to impossible to find posters that have no wear at all, and it would be silly to have a grading scale where no posters would qualify for "very good to fine" (or better grades), so we use a more "relaxed" scale that allows for very minor defects in our "very good to fine" grade. But in this auction, we are selling
a fair number of posters from the past 20 years, and those posters can
more often be found in excellent condition, because there were dealers and collectors who purchased these posters unused, and kept them in wonderful condition. So for THIS auction, we grade on a MUCH stricter scale
than we do for our folded one-sheet auctions! We downgrade posters to "very good to fine" for very minor defects (things like a single tiny tear in the border, or faint
creases in the edges). We further downgrade to "very good" posters that have several of these types of defects, even though the poster would probably qualify as "fine", if it was from the 1940s! We use this "sliding scale" grading because it allows us to better convey the poster's true condition to our buyers. If we used the exact same scale for all posters, then most 1920s posters would be graded as "fair" or "poor", and most 1980s
or 1990s posters would be graded as "fine", and we realize that that benefits nobody! In this auction, we have given a more detailed overall condition grade ("fine", "very good to fine", "very good", "good to very good", "good", and "fair", with only
a few "poor") for each poster. We felt this would help bidders identify items they want to bid on more easily. Of course, we still strongly recommend that you look at our super-sized image to see the extent of the defects. Know that we generally grade FAR more harshly than any other dealer we know! A 1990s poster that we grade as "good" or "good to very good" may well be one that many collectors could display on their wall just as it is, and may well be one that many other dealers would grade as "very good". So please don't reject a poster because it has a grade of "good" or "good to very good". Please study our supersized image and see if the defects are the sort that you can accept.

U.S. Shipping Details
U.S. buyers need to enclose $11 shipping (which includes full insurance)!
Missouri
customers: You must pay an additional 7.162% sales tax on your
purchases. If your order is sent within the state of Missouri, we MUST
collect this tax (if it is shipped to another state, we do not collect the tax).
Will your order be
shipped to you by UPS?
UPS does NOT automatically require a signature
to deliver packages, so if you want the signature to be required, you will
need to pay the extra $3.00 UPS charges for "signature required" Delivery
Confirmation, and please realize that they will then NOT leave the
package, and you may well have to go to the UPS facility yourself to pick it
up. But if you prefer this, that is fine, and if you have any other
special requirements, please tell us when you are paying for your order.
IF YOU DO NOT SPECIFY THAT YOU WANT SIGNATURE REQUIRED, THEN YOUR PACKAGE
WILL BE SENT WITHOUT SIGNATURE REQUIRED!
You CAN usually combine shipment!
NOTE: These Sunday items need to be
sent rolled in tubes so...
*they can be combined with these auctions:
Tuesday April 17th rolled non-U.S. posters
Thursday April 19th rolled "special" posters
Sunday April 22nd Japanese B2 posters
Tuesday May 1st items in Part II of our Spring Mini/Major Auction
*they must be sent separately from these auctions for an additional shipping charge:
Tuesday April 24th lots of 2+ stills from a single title
Thursday April 26th heralds
Sunday April 29th linenbacked items in Part I of our Spring Mini/Major Auction
Thursday May 3rd items in Part III of our Spring Mini/Major Auction
Sunday May 6th oversized items in Part IV of our Spring Mini/Major Auction (NOTE: If
anything can be combined safely, we will do it)
Tuesday May 8th folded one-sheets
Thursday May 10th complete and incomplete lobby card sets
|
Note that we not only allow you to combine as many items as you want from a single
set of Tuesday, Thursday, and/or Sunday auctions, and still pay only a single shipping charge for all of the items, but we also allow you to wait until
the next five sets of auctions end (a total of six sets of auctions) so that you can combine your current purchases with those of our following auctions
(if possible), and that means there
is a chance you could combine items from up to six of our sets of auctions, and still pay only a single shipping charge (assuming those items fit into the same type of package). We KNOW there are other sellers who charge a little less on shipping than we do, but we know that our packaging is the best there is, and our orders virtually never arrive damaged (and on the very rare times that they do, all our U.S. packages are fully insured, and
FULL INSURANCE IS INCLUDED IN THE U.S. SHIPPING CHARGE).
DON'T BID ON OUR ITEMS
UNLESS YOU WILL PAY THE $11 U.S. SHIPPING!

Non-U.S. Shipping Details
Non-U.S. buyers must pay the actual cost of shipping their order
(you can choose whatever method you prefer, but know that the U.S. Post
Office has eliminated Surface Mail, so we can only send via Express or
Airmail), plus $3, for both the best packaging materials you have ever seen
and a separate printed invoice mailed to you.
All non-U.S. buyers must tell us if they want the package sent insured or
uninsured at the time they pay for their order.
Have you heard about our Pay and Hold
Program?
This lets non-U.S. buyers pay for their purchases from 4 consecutive weeks
(a total of 12 auctions and around 8,000+ items!), and we then send all your
purchases at once saving you LOTS of money! Click
HERE to learn more (if you are not one of the hundreds of our
non-U.S. buyers who are already part of this program)
Here is a chart
containing estimated shipping charges for up to 3 items from this set of
auctions
NOTE: These are ESTIMATES only, and your actual shipping may be more or less than
these estimates.
ALSO NOTE: Insurance will increase the cost of shipping by approximately $1.60 for each
$100 of insurance. |

IMPORTANT NOTICE: Please bear these
approximate shipping cost in mind BEFORE you place a bid (if
you live outside the U.S.). The vast majority of our customers want a very
securely packed tube, and will pay the extra shipping cost involved (and of
course, it goes to the Post Office or UPS, and not us!). Please do not ask
us to pack less securely, as that would likely result in a damaged order.
Some sellers are sending by Ground UPS to Canada, but that incurs large
"brokerage fees", so we do not recommend it. Note that there are also
some sellers sending non-U.S. packages via a "Letter" rate, but of course
this is not legal, and we can not do this. We have outlined the
possibilities for sending non-U.S. packages above, so please read that
carefully, BEFORE placing a bid!
Do you have a friend or relative who lives in the
United States?
Some of our customers either
visit the U.S. regularly, or have friends or relatives within the U.S., and
often those customers have us send their orders to a U.S. address, and then
they transport the posters from there. THIS CAN SAVE YOU A GREAT DEAL ON
SHIPPING! This is fine with us, but realize that you still need to let
us know within one week of receipt if you want to return anything, so don't
use this method unless you are certain you will want to keep your purchases.
DON'T BID ON OUR ITEMS UNLESS YOU WILL PAY THE ACTUAL COST OF SHIPPING (the
actual cost of shipping plus $3 outside the U.S.)!
