PLUS YOU GET "Texas
at the Movies" AS A BONUS
THIS WEEK!
"Crazy
Bruce Hershenson" says, "We are currently auctioning
873 complete and incomplete lobby card
sets, and I thought I would offer each buyer this week our full-color
Texas at the Movies movie poster book as an added bonus!"
This book contains 488 great images of movie posters and lobby cards
that are directly related to the great Lone Star State (movies with
"Texas". "Texan". or "Tex" in the title. movies with famous Texas cities
or locales. movies with "Lone Star" in the title. or movies dealing with
the famous "Texas Rangers"). The images are spread over 80 pages and
this book also served as the auction catalog for our December 8-18. 2005
auction! This was Bruce Hershenson's 19th major movie poster auction.
but this auction contained a large number of images never seen in any
previous book or catalog! We offer every one of our buyers this week a copy of this great book,
Texas at the Movies as a bonus, even if you just buy one
$1 item! If you don't already own this great book (or maybe even if you do!), then you should find any one of our
hundreds of items to buy, just to get the bonus book! You may
get Texas at the Movies AND this item for as little as $1 plus shipping (if you are the only bidder)!

Special Notes About This Thursday's Items
About the "found in a barn" lobby cards at the
start of the auction
Note that the first 12 lots of lobby cards in this
auction were literally found in a barn, where they had been for the past 78
years! Each of the cards have MAJOR condition defects, so we have
provided super-sized images of the cards, which allow you to clearly see exactly
what condition the cards are in. We are not going to describe the defects in
great detail because you can see what is wrong with them from our super-sized
images. Note that all of the cards have darkened to different degrees, and all
of them are extremely fragile. But certainly, a talented restorer can paperback
the cards, and after proper restoration, the cards will look nice, but they will
surely be expensive to restore, and will have somewhat of a "restored" look
after restoration, so bear all of this in mind before you place a bid on any of
these cards!
Note that there were a total of 92 of these "found in a
barn" lobby cards! We auctioned 10 of them on January 25th as single lots, 10
more as single lots ending on February 8th and the remainder of the cards are in
this auction in these lots (and we have included cards from different titles in
some of the lots, which we do not usually do). THERE
ARE NO MORE OF THESE CARDS!
About the Condition of the Lobby Cards
Note that we give an overall condition grade to every item we sell ("fine", "very good to fine", "very good", "good to very good",
and "good", with only a few graded "fair" or lesser),
sometimes with more details about the condition described in words (but pretty much only if they are defects that CAN'T be seen in our super-sized images, or if the item is especially valuable). We felt this would help bidders identify items they want to bid on more easily. Of course, we still strongly recommend that you look at our super-sized image to see the extent of the defects that we describe and to examine the
item for minor defects that we did NOT
describe (especially because it is difficult to give a single condition
grade to a lot of more than one card, since they can vary widely in condition, so
that is even more reason to look at our images to get a sense of the
individual condition of each of the cards in each lot).
Please remember that our grading system is FAR more harsh than any other dealer we know of! We feel certain that our "very good to fine" condition grade compares favorably to most dealers' "near mint" grade and our "fine" condition grade compares favorably to most dealers' "mint" grade!
We did not describe most of the tiny defects these cards have in words, so we strongly recommend that you look at our super-sized image to see whatever tiny defects any of these cards may have.
If an
item is in less than very good condition, should you not bid on it? Of course not, as long as you are accepting of the defects the
item has! The item that is graded "very good", but has as many minor defects as is allowed under the "very good" definition is only in SLIGHTLY better condition than the best of the "good to very good" items. So please take the time to look at the larger images of items that interest you, and see if the defects are the sort that you can "live with", or are willing to restore. Some of these items are EXTREMELY rare, and it may be years before you see them offered again!

Payment Options
We accept all major credit cards, either directly over the phone
at 1-417-256-9616
during our regular business hours which are Monday to Friday, 9 AM CST to 5
PM CST except between 12 and 1 when we take lunch, or you can e-mail us
payment details, and there are still a few people who fax us!
If you like to pay via PayPal (our PayPal e-mail is "mail@emovieposter.com"),
that is fine, but know that PayPal has many glitches, and you should
ABSOLUTELY e-mail us separately when you send us a PayPal payment
Learn More! To pay with PayPal, follow the step-by-step instructions on the following page
of our website:
http://www.emovieposter.com/statpages/paypal_payment_instructions.php.
U.S. customers
may now pay us using our
PayPal
Express Checkout! NOTE: This is in development, so we are currently
unable to allow non-U.S. customers to use the Checkout to pay (although they
can use it to request their shipping quote), but we will be adding
that ability very soon. Also note that it is still fine to pay us using any
other payment method (including using PayPal "the old way").
You can send a check
or money order
(if you do, enclose your address and details about what you purchased) to:
Bruce Hershenson
Attn: Payments
P.O. Box 874
West Plains, MO 65775 If it is your
best payment option, you can pay by Western Union

sites, we are not prejudiced against Western Union!). But please don't send cash (as we can't be
responsible for lost cash)!

U.S. Shipping Details
U.S. buyers need to enclose $10 shipping (which includes full insurance)!
Missouri
customers: You must pay an additional 7.162% sales tax on your
purchases. If your order is sent within the state of Missouri, we MUST
collect this tax (if it is shipped to another state, we do not collect the tax).
Will your order be
shipped to you by UPS?
UPS does NOT automatically require a signature
to deliver packages, so if you want the signature to be required, you will
need to pay the extra $3.00 UPS charges for "signature required" Delivery
Confirmation, and please realize that they will then NOT leave the
package, and you may well have to go to the UPS facility yourself to pick it
up. But if you prefer this, that is fine, and if you have any other
special requirements, please tell us when you are paying for your order.
IF YOU DO NOT SPECIFY THAT YOU WANT SIGNATURE REQUIRED, THEN YOUR PACKAGE
WILL BE SENT WITHOUT SIGNATURE REQUIRED!
You CAN usually combine shipment!
NOTE: These Thursday items need to be sent in flat packages so...
*they
can be
combined with these auctions:
- Sunday January 23rd 'regular' Sunday auctions
- Tuesday January 25th single lobby cards
- Thursday January 27th single stills
- Sunday January 30th portrait stills
- Sunday February 6th 'regular' Sunday auctions
- Tuesday February 8th single lobby cards
*they must be sent separately from
these auctions for an additional shipping charge:
- Sunday January 23rd or 6th 'bulk lot' Sunday auctions
- Tuesday February 1st rolled non-U.S. posters
- Thursday February 3rd unfolded 27" x 40" one-sheets
|
Note that we not only allow you to combine as many items as you want from a single
set of Tuesday, Thursday, and/or Sunday auctions, and still pay only a single shipping charge for all of the items, but we also allow you to wait until
the next five sets of auctions end (a total of six sets of auctions) so that you can combine your current purchases with those of our following auctions
(if possible), and that means there
is a chance you could combine items from up to six of our sets of auctions, and still pay only a single shipping charge (assuming those items fit into the same type of package). We KNOW there are other sellers who charge a little less on shipping than we do, but we know that our packaging is the best there is, and our orders virtually never arrive damaged (and on the very rare times that they do, all our U.S. packages are fully insured, and
FULL INSURANCE IS INCLUDED IN THE U.S. SHIPPING CHARGE).
DON'T BID ON OUR ITEMS
UNLESS YOU WILL PAY THE $10 U.S. SHIPPING!

Non-U.S. Shipping Details
Non-U.S. buyers must pay the actual cost of shipping their order
(you can choose whatever method you prefer, but know that the U.S. Post
Office has eliminated Surface Mail, so we can only send via Express or
Airmail), plus $2 for the best packaging materials you have ever seen.
All non-U.S. buyers must tell us if they want the package sent insured or
uninsured at the time they pay for their order.
Have you heard about our Pay and Hold
Program?
This lets non-U.S. buyers pay for their purchases from 4 consecutive weeks
(a total of 12 auctions and around 8,000+ items!), and we then send all your
purchases at once saving you LOTS of money! Click
HERE to learn more (if you are not one of the hundreds of our
non-U.S. buyers who are already part of this program)
Here is a chart
containing estimated shipping charges for up to 3 items from this week's
auctions
(note these are ESTIMATES only, and your actual shipping may
vary considerably)
(Note: Insured quotes are based on a $200 value; you pay $1.60 more
for each additional $100 of insurance) |

IMPORTANT NOTICE: Please bear these
approximate shipping cost in mind BEFORE you place a bid (if
you live outside the U.S.). The vast majority of our customers want a very
securely packed tube, and will pay the extra shipping cost involved (and of
course, it goes to the Post Office or UPS, and not us!). Please do not ask
us to pack less securely, as that would likely result in a damaged order.
Some sellers are sending by Ground UPS to Canada, but that incurs large
"brokerage fees", so we do not recommend it. Note that there are also
some sellers sending non-U.S. packages via a "Letter" rate, but of course
this is not legal, and we can not do this. We have outlined the
possibilities for sending non-U.S. packages above, so please read that
carefully, BEFORE placing a bid!
Do you have a friend or relative who lives in the
United States?
Some of our customers either
visit the U.S. regularly, or have friends or relatives within the U.S., and
often those customers have us send their orders to a U.S. address, and then
they transport the posters from there. THIS CAN SAVE YOU A GREAT DEAL ON
SHIPPING! This is fine with us, but realize that you still need to let
us know within one week of receipt if you want to return anything, so don't
use this method unless you are certain you will want to keep your purchases.
DON'T BID ON OUR ITEMS UNLESS YOU WILL PAY THE ACTUAL COST OF SHIPPING (the
actual cost of shipping plus $2 outside the U.S.)!

You Can
Add More to Your
Order
In addition to our current auctions, we offer
many other non-auction items. Please note that the items in this week's
auction will be sent in flat packages, so
you can add any item that can also be sent in flat
packages for no additional shipping costs. We have noted below whether the items can be shipped rolled or not.
