PLUS YOU GET "John
Wayne Movie Posters at Auction" AS A BONUS
THIS WEEK!
"Crazy
Bruce Hershenson" says, "We are currently auctioning
240 glass slides, magazines, exhibitor magazines, German programs,
and bulk lots, and I thought I would offer each buyer this week our full-color
John Wayne Movie Posters at Auction movie poster book as an added bonus!"
This collection is the most unbelievable collection of John Wayne U.S.
one-sheets ever assembled! Virtually EVERY one-sheet known to
exist, including the original release and ALL known re-releases!
The auction also included some ultra-rare lobby cards and glass slides
from many of Wayne's 1930s westerns, and was the auction catalog for our
2003 mega-auction! The full-color catalog is a "must-have", for it is
the ultimate reference guide to John Wayne one-sheets! We offer every one of our buyers this week a copy of this great book,
John Wayne Movie Posters at Auction as a bonus, even if you just buy one
$1 item! If you don't already own this great book (or maybe even if you do!), then you should find any one of our
hundreds of items to buy, just to get the bonus book! You may
get John Wayne Movie Posters at Auction AND this item for as little as $1 plus shipping (if you are the only bidder)!

Special Notes About The Items in This Week's Sunday Auctions
How are these Sunday auctions different from our Tuesday and
Thursday auctions?
The short answer is that they are almost exactly like our Tuesday and
Thursday auctions, but with one important difference. This is that they do
NOT end at 7 PM CST like those other auctions do, but instead
they begin ending at 3 PM CST, which means that our European bidders will not
have to get up in the middle of the night to bid at the end of our auctions
(and of course, most of our American bidders will not be working on Sundays,
so they will have easy access to their computers as well).
Where are the many presskits we offered
in most past Sunday auctions?
We had been consigned two very large
collections of presskits, but we have now auctioned every presskit we have
here, so there will not be any more presskits in our Sunday auctions, and any
future consignments of them will go into our auction of "odd" items (unless of
course we receive another large collection of presskits!).
But know that next week we will add a new kind of
collectible to our Sunday auctions, which are film and TV scripts (we have
been consigned a large collection of those) and will continue offering them
until they have all been auctioned!
About the
exhibitor magazines we are auctioning this
Sunday
Since we started the Sunday auctions, we have been auctioning amazing
collections of glass slides, movie magazines, presskits, and German programs.
Three weeks ago, we added a new kind of collectible to our Sunday auctions!
These are exhibitor magazines, which, unlike movie magazines, were SOLELY
sent to theater owners, which makes them far more rare than regular movie
magazines.
In the 1910s and 1920s, there were lots of
different titles of these magazines, and theater owners would subscribe to them so that they
could keep up with the latest releases, decide which ones to book for their
theater, and also see ads for current movies plus ads for accessories that
theater owners needed. Each issue is filled with lots of information on
then-current movies, including how much they were taking in (because that was
the information of most interest to theater owners).
All of these magazines are in remarkable condition, and they are very rarely
offered for sale! We
have been consigned a fairly large collection of exhibitor magazines, and we
will continue adding them to our Sunday auctions, as time permits.
About the Condition
Note that we give an overall condition grade to every item we sell
("fine", "very good to fine", "very good", "good to very good", "good", and
"fair", with only a few graded "poor") along with more details about the
condition described in words (but pretty much only if they are defects that CAN'T be seen in our super-sized images, or if the item is especially valuable). We felt this would help bidders identify items they want to bid on more easily. Of course, we still strongly recommend that you look at our super-sized image to see the extent of the defects that we describe and to examine the
item for minor defects that we did NOT describe.
If an item is in less than very good condition, should you not bid on it? Of course not, as long as you are accepting of the defects the
item has! The item that is graded "very good", but has as many minor defects as is allowed under the "very good" definition is only in SLIGHTLY better condition than the best of the "good to very good" items. So please take the time to look at the larger images of items that interest you, and see if the defects are the sort that you can "live with", or are willing to restore. Some of these items are EXTREMELY rare, and it may be years before you see them offered again! |
Payment Options
We accept all major credit cards, either directly over the phone
at 417-256-9616 during our regular business hours which are Monday to Friday, 9 AM CST to 5
PM CST except between 12 and 1 when we take lunch, or you can e-mail us
payment details, and there are still a few people who fax us!
If you like to pay via PayPal (our PayPal e-mail is "mail@emovieposter.com"),
that is fine, but know that PayPal has many glitches, and you should
ABSOLUTELY e-mail us separately when you send us a PayPal payment!
You can send a check
or money order
(if you do, enclose your address and details about what you purchased) to:
Bruce Hershenson
Attn: Payments
P.O. Box 874
West Plains, MO 65775
If it is your
best payment option, you can pay by Western Union
(unlike SOME auction
sites, we are not prejudiced against Western Union!). But please don't send cash (as we can't be
responsible for lost cash)!

U.S. Shipping Details
U.S. buyers need to enclose $10 shipping (which includes full insurance)!
Missouri
customers: You must pay an additional 7.162% sales tax on your
purchases. If your order is sent within the state of Missouri, we MUST
collect this tax (if it is shipped to another state, we do not collect the tax).
IMPORTANT: THE $10 SHIPPING DOES NOT APPLY TO THE BULK LOTS
WE ARE AUCTIONING!
Note
that we have our usual standard shipping on all of the "regular" Sunday
items, but the bulk lots have stated shipping that is far higher (because
they are so heavy and/or bulky). You can combine as many of the regular
items as you want and pay a single shipping charge, but the bulk lots can
NOT be combined with the other items, because they are completely
packaged by themselves.
Will your order be
shipped to you by UPS?
UPS does NOT automatically require a signature
to deliver packages, so if you want the signature to be required, you will
need to pay the extra $2.50 UPS charges for "signature required" Delivery
Confirmation, and please realize that they will then NOT leave the
package, and you may well have to go to the UPS facility yourself to pick it
up. But if you prefer this, that is fine, and if you have any other
special requirements, please tell us when you are paying for your order.
IF YOU DO NOT SPECIFY THAT YOU WANT SIGNATURE REQUIRED, THEN YOUR PACKAGE
WILL BE SENT WITHOUT SIGNATURE REQUIRED!
You CAN usually combine shipment!
NOTE: These Sunday
items need to be sent in flat packages so...
*they can be
combined with these
auctions:
- Tuesday March 30th French and Italian
one- and two-panels (NOTE: combined shipping will be the higher $14 U.S.
charge from these auctions)
- Thursday April 1st pressbooks and
'odd' U.S. items (NOTE: combined shipping will be the higher $14 U.S.
charge from these auctions)
- Sunday April 4th movie magazines,
exhibitor magazines, presskits, glass slides, German programs
- Tuesday April 6th folded one-sheets
- Thursday April 8th folded non-U.S.
posters and non-U.S. lobby cards
- Sunday April 11th movie magazines,
exhibitor magazines, presskits, glass slides, German programs
- Tuesday April 13th folded one-sheets
- Thursday April 15th complete and
incomplete lobby card sets
*they must be sent separately from
these auctions for an additional shipping charge:
- Tuesday March 23rd rolled non-U.S.
posters (French, Belgian, and Italian locandinas)
- Thursday March 25th rolled non-U.S.
posters (from 26 countries)
- Sunday April 4th, 11th, & 18th bulk lots
|
Note that we not only allow you to combine as many items as you want from a single
set of Tuesday, Thursday, and/or Sunday auctions, and still pay only a single shipping charge for all of the items, but we also allow you to wait until
the next five sets of auctions end (a total of six sets of auctions) so that you can combine your current purchases with those of our following auctions
(if possible), and that means there
is a chance you could combine items from up to six of our sets of auctions, and still pay only a single shipping charge (assuming those items fit into the same type of package). We KNOW there are other sellers who charge a little less on shipping than we do, but we know that our packaging is the best there is, and our orders virtually never arrive damaged (and on the very rare times that they do, all our U.S. packages are fully insured, and
FULL INSURANCE IS INCLUDED IN THE U.S. SHIPPING CHARGE).
DON'T BID ON OUR ITEMS
UNLESS YOU WILL PAY THE $10 U.S. SHIPPING!

Non-U.S. Shipping Details
Non-U.S. buyers must pay the actual cost of shipping their order
(you can choose whatever method you prefer, but know that the U.S. Post
Office has eliminated Surface Mail, so we can only send via Express or
Airmail), plus $2 for the best packaging materials you have ever seen.
All non-U.S. buyers must tell us if they want the package sent insured or
uninsured at the time they pay for their order.
Have you heard about our Pay and Hold
Program?
This lets non-U.S. buyers pay for their purchases from 4 consecutive weeks
(a total of 12 auctions and around 8,000+ items!), and we then send all your
purchases at once saving you LOTS of money! Click
HERE to learn more (if you are not one of the hundreds of our
non-U.S. buyers who are already part of this program)
Here is a chart
containing estimated shipping charges for up to 3 items from this week's
auctions
(note these are ESTIMATES only, and your actual shipping may
vary considerably)
(Note: Insured quotes are based on a $200 value; you pay $1.60 more
for each additional $100 of insurance) |

IMPORTANT NOTICE: Please bear these
approximate shipping cost in mind BEFORE you place a bid (if
you live outside the U.S.). The vast majority of our customers want a very
securely packed tube, and will pay the extra shipping cost involved (and of
course, it goes to the Post Office or UPS, and not us!). Please do not ask
us to pack less securely, as that would likely result in a damaged order.
Some sellers are sending by Ground UPS to Canada, but that incurs large
"brokerage fees", so we do not recommend it. Note that there are also
some sellers sending non-U.S. packages via a "Letter" rate, but of course
this is not legal, and we can not do this. We have outlined the
possibilities for sending non-U.S. packages above, so please read that
carefully, BEFORE placing a bid!
Do you have a friend or relative who lives in the
United States?
Some of our customers either
visit the U.S. regularly, or have friends or relatives within the U.S., and
often those customers have us send their orders to a U.S. address, and then
they transport the posters from there. THIS CAN SAVE YOU A GREAT DEAL ON
SHIPPING! This is fine with us, but realize that you still need to let
us know within one week of receipt if you want to return anything, so don't
use this method unless you are certain you will want to keep your purchases.
DON'T BID ON OUR ITEMS UNLESS YOU WILL PAY THE ACTUAL COST OF SHIPPING (the
actual cost of shipping plus $2 outside the U.S.)!
You Can
Add More to Your
Order
In addition to our current auctions, we offer
many other non-auction items. Please note that the items in this week's
auction will be sent in flat packages, so
you can add any item that can also be sent in
flat packages for no additional shipping costs. We have noted below whether the items can be shipped rolled or not.
