JOCK MAHONEY
Jock Mahoney was born Jacques O'Mahoney, and was of French and Irish heritage. He was an actor from the 1940s to the 1980s. He was a star athlete at the University of Iowa and an aviator in the U.S. Marines. After he got out of the service, he became a stunt man, and he soon began playing the leads in action and western movies. He is best remembered from playing Tarzan in several movies (he was the thirteenth actor to play Tarzan, and he would sign Tarzan items as "Tarzan No 13"). He also had starring roles in two TV series, The Range Rider and Yancy Derringer. Some of his roles include: The End, A Time to Love and a Time to Die, Away All Boats, The Land Unknown, and Battle Hymn. He passed away in 1989 at the age of 70.
