DAVID PROWSE
David Prowse (Dave Prowse) was an English actor from the 1960s to the 2010s. He is best remembered for playing Darth Vader in the original Star Wars trilogy (he was inside the suit, but the voice was that of James Earl Jones). Prowse's relationship with Lucasfilm and George Lucas was frayed, and in July 2010, he was banned by Lucas from attending official Star Wars fan conventions. George Lucas had reportedly given Prowse no reason, other than stating that Prowse "burnt too many bridges" between Lucasfilm and himself. Some of his other movies include: Jabberwocky, Frankenstein and the Monster from Hell (in the title role as the monster), and Callan. Prowse passed away in 2020 at the age of 85.
