Allen Holubar was an writer, actor, and director from the 1910s to the 1920s. Several of his works were later adapted to film. including: 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea, The Where Glory Waits, Midnight, and Heart Strings. He passed away in 1923 at the age of 35 after surgery to treat pneumonia.
