HEDDA HOPPER
Hedda Hopper (now known solely as a newspaper columnist) was an actress from the 1910s to the 1960s. Some of her movies include: The Women, Wings, Topper, Nothing Sacred, and Midnight. In the 1930s, she became a very famous gossip columnist discussing Hollywood (she couldn't type, and her spelling was poor, so she dictated the column over the phone to a typist!), and was also known for wearing outrageous hats. Hedda passed away in 1966 at the age of 80.
