RUSS MEYER
Russ Meyer was a director from the 1950s to the 2000s. He was one of the very first directors to break the barrier against nudity in movies in the 1950s, starting with 1959's "The Immoral Mr. Teas". Together with his wife Eve, they created a series of "nudie" movies (always featuring big-breasted women). He was a master of promotion, and would continually "re-present" his movies under new titles with entirely new poster art, and often fool theater owners into showing the same movie more than once (and also trick moviegoers into paying to see the same movie twice, which would understandably make them angry!). Some of his other best remembered movies include: Vixen, Up, Beneath the Valley of the Ultra Vixens, and Super Vixens. Meyer passed away in 2004 at the age of 82.
