PEARL WHITE

Pearl White was an actress from the 1910s to the 1920s. Some of her movies include: The Perils of Pauline (in the title role), The Missing Bridegroom, and The House of Hate. She is of course the most famous female silent serial star, but after many injuries from her roles, she decided that she wanted to quit serials, and she turned to "serious acting", but she became addicted to painkillers, and she retired in 1924 and passed away in 1938, when she was just 49.
