JOHN CARRADINE
John Carradine was an actor from the 1930s to 1990. He was far from an overnight success! He started making movies in 1930, and appeared in lots of movies every year, but mostly in uncredited roles. In 1936, he joined John Ford's stock company, and appeared in 11 Ford movies, but the most important was The Grapes of Wrath in 1940, where he really got noticed, and then his career greatly improved, but he still mostly played supporting roles, both in movies and on TV, with over 300 appearances in all! Some of his other movies include: Bride of Frankenstein and House of Frankenstein. Of course, he is father to David, Keith, and Robert Carradine, who all went on to have Hollywood careers! He passed away in 1988 at the age of 82.
