June Lang was an actress from the 1930s to the 1960s. She was born in Minneapolis, but her parents moved to Hollywood when she was 5, because they thought she could become a star, having performed on stage. She went to the "Hollywood Professionals School", and she got her first movie role when she was 14 (she had matured early!), and the next year, she signed with Fox, and she had her first speaking role in "Chandu The Magician". She got better roles in 1933 and 1934, but from that point on, her career started on a downhill slope, and she lost her contract in 1938. She married a Chicago mobster, Johnny Roselli in 1939. She divorced her husband in 1943, but by then, her career was essentially over. Some of her movies include: Music in the Air, Ali Baba Goes to Town, Wee Willie Winkie, Flesh and Fantasy, and Captain January. Note that she was born Winifred June Vlasek, and she was initially billed as "June Vlasek", but Fox wisely changed her name to something easier to pronounce! June passed away in 2005 at the age of 88.
