The Carpenters were a brother and sister music group (consisting of Richard and Karen Carpenter) from the 1960s until 1983, when Karen died of heart failure after years of battling anorexia. Some of their hits include: Close to You, Yesterday Once More, Please Mr. Postman, A Song for You, and For All We Know
