SMILEY BURNETTE
Smiley Burnette was a character actor from the 1930s to the 1950s, playing mostly comedy supporting roles in B-westerns, primarily with Charles Starrett and Gene Autry. Near the end of his career, he had a role on TV's "Petticoat Junction" as the engineer on the Cannonball. Some of his movies include: Dick Tracy, Undersea Kingdom, and King of the Cowboys. Burnette passed away in 1967 at the age of 55.
