ALEX HALEY

Alex Haley was a black African American writer from the 1970s to the 1990s. He is best remembered for his book "Roots", which was a major bestseller and was a super successful TV mini series. His works include The Autobiography of Malcolm X, Super Fly T.N.T., Roots: The Next Generation, Queen, and Mama Flora's Family. Her passed away in 1992 at the age of 70.
