COLE PORTER

Cole Porter was a composer and songwriter from the 1920s to the 1950s. Many of his songs became standards, and many of his scores found success on Broadway and in Hollywood films. His most successful musical was Kiss Me, Kate, which won the first Tony Award for Best Musical. Some of his other musicals include: Fifty Million Frenchmen, Anything Goes, and Can-Can. He passed away in 1964 at the age of 73.
