WILLIAM S. BURROUGHS
William S. Burroughs was a writer and visual artist from the 1950s to the 1980s. He was considered a primary figure of the Beat Generation and a major postmodern author. He wrote 18 novels, as well as collections of short stories and essays, as well as collaborating with numerous performers and musicians. He created thousands of visual artworks, including his celebrated "Shotgun Art", but is perhaps best known for his third novel "Naked Lunch". He passed away in 1997 at the age of 83
