PEARL BAILEY

Pearl Bailey was one of the first highly successful black African American singers/actresses from the 1950s through the 1980s. She headlined the all-black Broadway version of "Hello Dolly!" in 1968. Some of her movies include: Porgy and Bess, Carmen Jones, and The Landlord. She passed away in 1990 at the age of 72.
