Ormond McGill was a stage hypnotist, magician instructor and author from the 1930s to the 2000s. He was often considered to be the "Dean of American Hypnotists". From 1947 to 1954, McGill performed hypnotism and magic under the stage name of Dr. Zomb, and his Seance of Wonders show featured horror-themed routines and costumed assistants typical of the midnight "spook shows" which were popular during that era. Some of his books include: Encyclopedia of Genuine Stage Hypnotism, Hypnotism and Mysticism of India, The New Encyclopedia of Stage Hypnotism. He passed away in 2005 at the age of 92
