MAWBY TRIPLETS

The Mawby Triplets were not triplets at all, but they were sisters! The oldest was born in 1921, and a year later, her parents had twin sisters, and as they grew, they were so similar in appearance and size that their parents decided to enter them into show business as triplets! They were English, but their parents moved to Hollywood, and they appeared in a number of Hollywood movies billed as "The Mawby Triplets" between 1929 and 1932. That was the year of the Lindbergh kidnapping, and their parents decided to move back to England, where they continued their career for a few years, retiring in 1936 when World War II began, but they were quite famous in their day, and they even have their handprints at Grauman's Chinese Theatre. One of them passed away in 1942 at the age of 20 during a London bombing, and the other two died in 2000 and 2012, at the ages of 79 and 90.
