PAULINE KAEL

Pauline Kael was a film critic from the 1950s to the 1990s. She worked for The New Yorker magazine from 1968 to 1991, and was one of the most influential film critics of her era. She was hired by Robert Altman to work on his movies for a couple of years. She passed away in 2001 at the age of 82.
